• Chateau Lily, an online wine purveyor sought to increase sales by opening a wine bar that doubled as a retail shop. The client required a space that was simplistic, warm, rustic yet modern. The main challenge was the operational flow of the program requirements, the client needed a solution that allowed walk-ins while private events or gatherings occurred.

  • The design process opened with the question of the meaning of “a neighborhood place,” recounting personal places of significance to find a common essence, hours of handmade pasta training, and the consumption of meters of pasta.

  • The proposal converts part of the indoor space to create an outdoor courtyard between the bar area versus the private lounge and cellar.
